Welcome to Plan Review Services. Plan review is the first step in obtaining city approved plans for construction permits and in ensuring that all buildings are constructed safely and properly. It is an important part in the construction and alteration of buildings and structures.
Plan Review involves checking and approving plans to be in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local building codes. The purpose of the review is to produce construction documents for use in the field which meet life and fire safety provisions. The Building Division coordinates with plan review divisions from other city departments to facilitate approval of plans for permit issuance.
A building plan checker is generally available for over-the-counter plan review of minor projects and field revisions during business hours.
