Library Specialist Robin Ott has been a dedicated employee of the Huntington Beach Library since 1981. For nearly 38 years she has worked at almost every library branch location and brings a long history of both dedication and innovation.
Robin was at one time a very public figure for the library, appearing on local television shows to promote the Huntington Beach Library and its services. For many years she worked at Central Library helping children and adults, lending her creative spirit to a number of important library projects.
Mid-career, Robin was promoted to the position of Branch Manager, managing the Helen Murphy Library, the Main Street Library and now the Banning Library - for over 20 years of combined branch service. And each branch has blossomed under her care. She has worked to make our neighborhood branches extremely neat, organized, attractive, safe and welcoming.
The Banning Library, where she works today, has never looked better. She greets each patron warmly and helps them find books they will love, keeps the library looking bright and lively, works with our long-time volunteers, partners with the nearby Eader School and has even helped launch a popular after-school Craft Club for neighborhood students.
Robin should be commended for many years of outstanding service to our community!
