Emergency Testing on Sept. 20 at 11:18am

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) on September 20, 2018. The WEA portion of the test commences at 11:18AM and the EAS portion follows at 11:20AM. The test will assess the operational readiness to distribute a national message using the systems.

This is a good reminder that Huntington Beach residents must be prepared for when a disaster happens. We also ask that you sign of for AlertOC to receive emergency notifications from public safety officials.
