Trash Pick Up Delay This Week will Resume Tomorrow, 9/11
posted on 09/10/2019.

Update: The Teamsters-led work stoppage at Republic Services’ Huntington Beach location lasted only a few hours and ended just after noon. We have implemented a holiday schedule, and any customers who were not collected today will be serviced Wednesday. We appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding.

Republic Services has notified the city that trash and recycling service has been temporarily delayed due to an unanticipated work stoppage. The company is in contract negotiations with a union representing some of its employees in Massachusetts. Those employees are engaged in a temporary work stoppage, which was joined today by some employees at Republic’s Huntington Beach location. Because of this, Republic is experiencing significant delays in collection service but is working to resolve this situation as soon as possible. Residents are asked to leave containers out and available for collection, and they will be serviced as soon as possible.  If further questions, you can reach out to Republic Services at (657) 845-6111.

A home solar panel system consists of several solar panels, an inverter, a battery, a charge regulator, wiring, and support materials. Sunlight is absorbed by the solar panels and is converted to electricity by the installed system. The battery stores electricity that can be used at a later time, like cloudy days or during the evening.  Learn more about solar.
