Fire Department Open House - Oct. 12

In recognition of Fire Prevention Week, the Huntington Beach Fire Department will be holding its annual Open House on Saturday, October 12 at Fire Station 1-Gothard (18311 Gothard Street, 92648) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  This year’s theme is “Not every hero wears a cape.  Plan and practice your escape!

There will be fire and rescue demonstrations including a special fireworks presentation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, educational safety handouts, tours of the fire station, staging of emergency apparatus including Marine Safety equipment, Sparky the Fire Dog, and HBFD firefighters.

Did you know?

The Huntington Beach Fire Department conducts free home fire safety inspections for seniors.  You can also get a free smoke detector with a 10 year battery and carbon monoxide detector installed.  This free service is provided by Project SHIP senior home inspection program volunteers. You can schedule an appointment online or call 714-374-1615.
