Update: Surf City Stroll Expands
posted on 08/05/2020.
On August 3, the City Council approved the Downtown BID's request to expand Surf City Stroll onto the 3rd block of Main Street.  Since July 11, it has been operating successfully on the 2nd block to give restaurants and other establishments the opportunity to expand outdoors, while the State's closure of certain indoor operations remains in effect.
The City is currently coordinating the closure of the 3rd block to vehicular traffic in order for businesses to move their operations onto the street by the weekend of August 8, 2020.  This will allow participating businesses to provide a safer, al fresco dining or shopping experience.  Outdoor dining tables will be spaced six feet apart, and the areas will be cleaned regularly.
Just remember to maintain social distance and wear a mask to protect our OneHB community.
