Waste Collection Services Impacted by Labor Disputes
posted on 12/09/2021.
Due to a labor dispute between the trash hauler, Republic Services, and their labor force, Huntington Beach residents and businesses may experience service delays for trash service collection.
The City has been in communication with Republic Services and is monitoring the extent of service interruptions. If warranted, the City will implement plans for alternate trash disposal options and announce those plans to residents and businesses.
Republic Services has indicated that they are working to resolve the situation as soon as possible for our residents and businesses.
In the meantime, please:
• Put your containers out for service at the curb or alley on your regular collection day.
• If not serviced, leave your containers out for collection the following day, similar to a holiday schedule.
• If needed, bag any excess/uncollected waste for collection on your next scheduled day.
• Continue to follow us here for more updates.
Questions? Contact Republic Services at (714) 847-3581.
