When you visit Adventure Playground, you will notice the location has undergone some changes since 2019. Three forts, the changing rooms, and the staircase to the mudslide have been completely rebuilt. The option to build on the forts with hammers and nails has been removed to ensure the safety of all participants. Adventure Playground is a wonderful playing experience for children 5-12 years old. Kids can raft on a small pond, go down a mudslide, traverse the rope bridge over the pond, and build forts with extra large building blocks in the fort area.

We are thrilled to welcome your child to Adventure Playground in the City of Huntington Beach. As the safety of all our visitors is our top priority, we kindly request that you actively supervise your child while they are on our premises. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we would like to provide you with our rules and regulations:

  • All visitors, including adults, must at all times be wearing closed-toe shoes. We do not allow sandals, however beginning June 2024, Adventure Playground now allows water shoes, crocs, natives, and other water friendly shoes, as long as the shoes have a hard bottom and do not come off easily. Anyone wearing shoes we deem inappropriate will not be allowed to enter.
  • All children must be supervised by the guardian or counselor at all times. Please note that Adventure Playground staff members are not responsible for the supervision of children.
  • Counselors/guardians must comply with the rules of the playground at all times. The counselor/guardian to child ratio is not to exceed 1 to 10 at any time. Our staff is available to assist with any questions or concerns you may have.
  • Please be advised that participants will get wet. Children will need to bring a towel, a change of clothes, extra shoes, and a plastic bag to keep them in. Groups are responsible for their own items. (There are no lockers or cubbies available). Be sure to check the playground before leaving to confirm that all children have either taken their belongings with them or disposed of them properly.
  • Unheated showers and changing rooms are provided. Adult supervision is required when using either of these facilities in order to maintain the safety of the children and the cleanliness of the playground.
  • Eating at the park is allowed and encouraged. Groups must bring their own lunch and snacks. You may eat inside the playground or outside in the park. Please note that tables at Adventure Playground are available on a first-come, first-served basis, we are not currently taking reservations for tables. Please be advised that the City of Huntington Beach is not responsible for any items that are left unattended on the tables. We recommend that you keep your personal belongings with you at all times to avoid any loss or damage.  Please check the area for trash before you leave. Trash cans are found inside the playground and down the footpath.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding of these rules and regulations. By working together, we can ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone at Adventure Playground!
