It's never a dull moment at Camp HB.  Discover new adventures through onsite and offsite excursions.  Camp HB offers fun-filled weeks of camp, each with an exciting different theme. Campers can take advantage of the diverse activities Camp HB has to offer while supervised by experienced staff in a safe and fun environment. Celebrate the summer Surf City style at CAMP HB! Join us each week to create take-home crafts, play exciting games, and participate in activities tailored to each week!

Camp HB DescriptionsWeek 1: Summer KickOff - 6/24-6/28
Get your kicks at our first week of summer CAMP HB! Campers will enjoy all things sports-related as they pass, shoot, and dribble their way into a summer of fun! Campers will participate in sports themed crafts, games, and an excursion.

Week 2: Colorful Creations - 7/1-7/5, No Class: 7/4
Dive into a world of vibrant imagination as campers unleash their artistic talents in a week filled with colorful crafts, painting activities, a spectrum of creative adventures, and an excursion!

Week 3: Oceanic Expedition - 7/8-7/12
Set sail for a week of aquatic wonders with excursions! Campers will explore the mysteries of the deep, engage in ocean-inspired activities, and embark on a journey to discover the treasures hidden beneath the waves.

Week 4: Mystical Adventure - 7/15-7/19
Get ready for a magical journey into the unknown and excursions! Campers will unravel enchanting mysteries, create mythical crafts, and embark on quests through a whimsical realm of imagination.

Week 5: Murdy Rodeo Roundup - 7/22-7/26
Yee-haw! Join us for a week of lasso tossing, country line dancing, and roundup relays! Campers will enjoy western themed crafts, games, and excursions.

Week 6: Space is the Place - 7/29-8/2
Blast off into a stellar adventure! Campers will explore the cosmos, create out-of-this-world crafts, and experience the wonders of space through exciting activities, cosmic exploration, and excursions.

Week 7: The Great Adventure - 8/5-8/9
Breathe in the fresh air and observe the natural beauty that Surf City has to offer! Trek through the world around you, create your own trail mix, and test earth science experiments! Campers will enjoy nature themed crafts, games, and excursions.

Week 8: Splish, Splash- 8/12-8/16
Water slides, swimming, water balloon tosses, and more! Make a wave during this week’s activities! Campers will enjoy aqua-themed crafts, games, and excursions.

Week 9: Sports Murdy Mania - 8/19-8/23
Score big in a week dedicated to sports madness and excursions! Campers will enjoy a variety of sports-themed activities, friendly competitions, and the thrill of teamwork as they dive into the world of athleticism.

Week 10: Night at the Museum - 8/26-8/30
Campers will step back in time for a week of historical exploration and excursions. From ancient artifacts to dinosaur digs, they'll engage in interactive exhibits, crafts, and adventures inspired by the magic of museums.

Camp HB FAQs
Should my child bring their own water bottle?
Yes! Please have your child bring their water bottle for camp. They can fill it up at our water refill station.
Is lunch included?
Lunch is not provided every day at Camp HB. We do provide one snack each day.
What happens if we arrive late and the bus has already departed?
If you cannot arrive at Murdy before the bus departs, you may drive your child directly to the offsite location to meet up with the group.
What should my child wear to camp?
Your child should wear the bright green camp T-shirt which is provided at the start of the week. If your child needs an additional camp shirt, they are available for purchase for an additional $10.
Will sunscreen be provided?
Spray sunscreen is provided for the campers. Please make sure you spray sunscreen on your child prior to drop off.
Can my child bring his/her own beach toys?
Camp HB will be providing all beach toys (sand buckets, sand toys, and shovels) for beach days.
Can my child bring spending money for field trips?
Unless stated in the “Newsletter,” please do not send your child with money for excursions.
What's included in the fee for the camp?
Camp HB fee covers the cost of all tickets for excursions, buses, shirts, and supplies. This also includes the food vendors that will be on-site providing food for your children on specific days in the newsletter.
Can I pick up my child early?
On off-site days, we highly recommend that you pick up your child while they are here at Murdy after their excursion. Please do not pick up your child from an excursion. When on-site, you are more than welcome to pick up your child earlier.
Who can pick up my child?
Authorized people to pick up your child must be listed on the emergency form. In the event that someone else needs to pick up the child, please inform the camp staff or front office staff.
What if my child has an allergy?
Please list allergies your child is allergic to on the emergency form. All staff are CPR/AED certified if an epi-pen needs to be administrated to your child.
What is the policy in regards to getting a refund?
A full refund minus the $6 processing fee will be given ONLY when a refund request is made a minimum of three business days in advance of the first day of camp. For example, if camp starts on Monday, a refund must be requested no later than the Wednesday prior. No refunds will be given after the timeframe above.
Can my child have a cell phone or an electronic device during camp?
You are encouraged not to send a child to camp with a cell phone/electronic device so they may enjoy the activities we have planned for them. If they do bring a device to camp, we ask they keep it in their backpack.
How will my child be transported to and from excursions?
All campers and staff will be transported by a school bus each week.
What will my child be doing during on-site days?
During on-site days we will be doing crafts that correspond with the theme of the week, water games, yard games (large Connect 4 and large Jenga), and so much more!
What's the ratio between staff and campers?
One (1) staff member to every eight (8) children.
Do I need to fill out forms every week if my child is enrolled in more than one week?
No, if you have no changes to your forms from the first week your child is enrolled, we will save it and re-use it.
Will siblings be placed together if they are enrolled in the same camp?
You may request to put siblings who are very close in age in the same group. Projects and games are tailored to the age groups of the different stations throughout the day.
Where do I find information regarding field trips?
You will receive an email the Wednesday prior to camp with the following documents “Welcome Letter,” “Disciplinary Form,” “Emergency Form,” and a “Newsletter.” The “Newsletter” will give detailed information regarding all excursions and what to bring.
