Surf City Speaks

Surf City Speaks

The City of Huntington Beach is committed to pursuing OneHB's goal, which is to ensure that HB continually improves its standing as a premier coastal community as measured through the health of our people, our organization, our infrastructure, and our community.

To support this goal, the City launched the first biennial Quality of Life Community Survey in 2023.  It is a custom, HB-focused, statistically valid survey to provide the City with an accurate and unbiased snapshot of our community's attitudes and views on issues and services in the City.

Thanks to the hundreds of residents who participated in this inaugural survey, the City has a better understanding of the priorities of our community and how to better allocate funding, resources, and services. Of the feedback received, 78% of residents agreed that Huntington Beach is a great or excellent place to live, and two-thirds are happy with the services the City provides.

Our community also told the City that the following are the top priorities:

Our community also informed us that the predominant way they get their news on what is happening in HB is through word of mouth - the City is listening. We are launching Surf City Speaks to get everyone involved and for you to start talking not only to your neighbors, but to us! What are your important needs and priorities? Take our survey and tell us!
