June 21 thru September 6, 2020
5:00 pm
Each concert will feature a different band with music styles ranging from patriotic, show and movie tunes, big band and swing, to Dixieland, and Latin Jazz. Wear your dancing shoes! A Huntington Beach tradition for years and years, continues thanks to the generous financial support from the community at last year's concerts, and donations throughout the year. The Huntington Beach Concert Band will kick off the series June 21st with Salute to America. The 80-piece brass, wind and percussion ensemble will perform a variety of patriotic songs and American favorites Memorial Day, Flag Day and Fourth of July all rolled into one! On July 26Th the Huntington Beach band returns with a Special Program Directed by Col. (Ret) Thomas Rotoni of the US Army Band "Pershing's Own". One of the oldest and largest community bands in Orange County, the Huntington Beach Concert Band is celebrating its 47th year. The all-volunteer band is composed of professional and amateur musicians from around the region. The band has performed at venues throughout Southern California, including the Richard M. Nixon Library, Temecula Wine & Music Festival, Poway Community Band Festival, Santa Barbara Music Festival and Verizon Amphitheater, where for over 20 years band members joined the Pacific Symphony for the finale of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.
