Zoning GIS Map

Zoning GIS Map

The Zoning Viewer is a GIS map-based tool that enables you to look up zoning for any property in the City.  The zoning associated with the property tells you what uses are allowed on a property.  As an example, a property with a zoning designation of “RL” means that it allows low density residential uses (e.g. – single-family residences).  Each zone has an associated set of land use controls and development standards, which are located in the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance (HBZSO), otherwise known as the zoning code.

If you need assistance with how to use the Zoning Viewer, please take a few minutes to watch this short instructional video.

To see information on the specific development standards and allowed uses for specific zoning districts in the HBZSO, please visit the Huntington Beach Charter & Codes site.

Information on property dimensions and Assessor’s Parcel Maps, please refer to the County Assessor’s website.
